3/26- Growing Disatisfaction

Everywhere you look you see angry conservitives, these conservitives do not want John McCain. They rightfully claim that McCain is not a true conservitive, in fact he even discussed running as Kerry's VP in 2004. Many conservitives feel that the GOP is no longer their party, so where are the turning? Well many are turning the the Constitiution Party (http://constitutionparty.com/).

Among these is a Dr. Alan Keyes. Keyes is a life long republican whom Ronald Reagan once commented about, saying "I've never known a more stout-harted defender of a strong America then Alan Keyes." Alan Keyes served in the U.S. State Department during while Reagan was president and is what many would define as a "Reaganite." Alan Keyes has run for the republican nomination several times, but is now leaving the party. What caused this sudden change in heart? Well according to Keyes he quite the GOP because they didn't want him. According to him GOP party bosses refused to realese his results from the Iowa caucus and barred him from all Republican debates. Why? Because they simply thought he was too conservitive. Alan Keyes is now a front runner for the Constitution Party nomination.

The GOP has betrayed conservitives everywhere, their are many stories like that of Keyes, one for example is Ron Paul. While not going as far to not realese Ron Paul's results the GOP did their best to ignore the man.

If the GOP continues to disenfranchise conservitives they will be left with two choices, to either become a centrist party or to simply collapse. Whatever choice they make the GOP's glory days are over. Will a party like the Constitiution Party rise in their place, or will conservitives simply be left to fend for themselves in a world full of crazy liberals? We may never know until the time has come, but maybe by some chance, a true conservitive will rise from the ranks of the Republicans and save the party from what seems to be an immenent collapse.

3/25/08-The Democrats System

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

The Democrats seem to me to have one of the strangest systems of anybody ever, when it comes to choosing a candidate. On one hand you have the primaries. They're the perfect democracy, proportional representation and all, and then on the other hand you have the super-delegates. They are the exact opposite of democracy. They are oligarchy, where the few rule the many. Simply put, the Democrat party wants to give the people the choice to choose their candidate, but they're reserving the right to correct the people when the choose the "wrong" candidate. I can't see anyone agreeing with this system. It makes it so that, in reality, the people don't get to choose who their canidate for president is.

Of course this is a perfect example of what the Democrats stand for. They stand for big goverment, they stand for pretending to give the power to the people while really keeping it for themselves.

Now to what this may result in this year. Do not be suprised if the super delegates over rule the people this year. My prediction in the matter is that they in fact will choose Clinton over Obama even though Obama will win when it comes to elected delegates. (At http://www.midasoracle.org/2008/02/14/hillary-clinton-barack-obama/ you can see some intersting stats on who thinks Clinton can still win). As soon as the Obama supporters find out he got jipped out of a nomination they'll be pretty mad. If this all happens I think there will be a fair amount of pressure from Obama supporters for him to run as an independent. Of course if that happens you can say "see ya" to a liberal 44th president, unless of course, you count McCain as a liberal.

In conclusion the system the Democrats have set up could, in effect, destroy the party.
